As compared to other ez 4,5 phase system strength of rmf increase but very less value .. That requires details derivation... The steangth of rmf decides the stator rmf which will incfluence the rotor rmf ie speed of rotor .. So from the advantage of 3 phase system compared to other phase system the widings in eachpahse are diaplced 360/3 = 120 degress .. Let me know if you have more doubts? «less

Yes the first law expresses the general law of conservation of energy. and states that heat and work are mutually convertible

Heat In = Work Out over complete cycle
or Sum (d Q ) = sum (d W )

Over a complete cycle the algebraic sum of the quantities of heat supplied to a system is equal to the algebraic sum quantities of work performed by the system i.e.

In a cyclic process any property of the system are the same at the end of a cycle as at the beginning. Throughout the path of a cycle (?Q - ?W) represents a change in the total stored internal energy property of the system ?E . The basic energy equation results from this

?Q = ?E + ?W

The total stored internal energy E includes for various forms of energy including

the various forms of potential energy (gravity, magnetic, electrical)
thermal energy
chemical energy
atomic energy
kinetic energy
surface tension energy

Note: In classical thermodynamics as applicable to mechanical engineering the atomic energy and the chemical energy are not considered....

E = U + P.E + K.E + S.E

P.E = total potential energy, K.E = total kinetic energy, S.E = total surface energy . The intrinsic internal energy U is the total internal energy minus the energies of motion, gravitational, magnetic and surface forces energies . The first law can be written using U as

?Q = ?U + ?W «less

Yes according to the first law of thermodynamics heat is convertable to work.
Take the example of IC engine the heat energy is converted into mechanical work in the engine cylinder.

Join a Test series - a national test series like Brilliant tutorials or Resonance. This will tell you in advance if you are failing.
Find right theory books.
Brilliant and Vidyamandir books are not up to the mark for theory. Brilliants has a good but limited set of questions for practice. Vidyamandir questions I have not checked.

I recommend following books
Physics: HC Verma
Maths: Arihant publications are decently good (I came across lot of errors though)
Inorganic chemistry: I dont know the latest books
Physical Chemistry: P. Bahadur
Organic chemistry: Arihant «less

Entropy change of universe can never be negative but entropy change of system might be negative depending on process. entropy is randomness or disorder associated with molecules so there is nothing like negative randomness so there could be some randomness or no randomness.

In pass by value new variable is created during function call whose size is equal to the size of actual variable.but in pass by reference a pointer is created to hold the address of actual variable. The size of the pointer is about 4-8 byte only which overcome the overhead of pass by value. So we can say pass by reference optimize function call.

Shaheen Bano replied | 22/07/2015

pass by value means we are passing a a copy of the value of each argument is passed to the function;and passed by referance means we are passing an address to a function.
