I am deeply passionate about teaching science, as all my qualifications are rooted in this field. In addition to my academic background, I have worked as a researcher and scientist, which has greatly enhanced my ability to explore science from multiple perspectives. Through my teaching, I aim to spark curiosity in students and give them the freedom to think like scientists—encouraging them to ask more and more questions. I strive to connect with my students by answering their queries using relatable examples and demonstrations from everyday life. My primary interest lies in teaching Science to students from Classes 6 to 8, and Biology to students in Classes 9 and 10.

1. Interphase – (Preparation Phase – cell is getting ready to divide)
This is the longest phase of the cell cycle. It has three parts:
a) G₁ Phase (Gap 1)
The cell grows in size.
Makes proteins and organelles.
Prepares for DNA copying.
b) S Phase (Synthesis Phase)
DNA is copied (duplicated) in this phase.
Now the cell has two complete sets of DNA.
c) G₂ Phase (Gap 2)
The cell grows more.
Prepares for actual division.
Checks for any DNA errors and fixes them.
2. M Phase (Mitotic Phase) – (Actual Cell Division)
This phase has 2 parts:
Mitosis – division of the nucleus.
Cytokinesis – division of the cytoplasm.
Let’s break down mitosis into its 4 steps:
a) Prophase
Chromosomes become visible.
Nuclear membrane disappears.
Spindle fibers start forming.
b) Metaphase
Chromosomes line up in the center (middle) of the cell.
Spindle fibers attach to the chromosomes.
c) Anaphase
Chromosomes are pulled apart to opposite sides of the cell.
d) Telophase
New nuclear membranes form around each set of chromosomes.
The cell now has two nuclei.
After telophase, cytokinesis happens, where the cytoplasm divides and two new daughter cells are formed.
