Hi, I have been working in IT from the past six years. My primary skills are Unix and SQL. Can I go for a Spark or Hadoop training? Do I need to learn Python for big data? Is there any skill I need to have for spark?

Basically Spark is a framework. To work on Spark, you need to be familiar (middle level) with Java/Scala/python

Hi Sourav, SQL and UNIX will also help you in the significant data domain, but I would suggest Python or java if you want to learn Spark. First Start with a fundamental concept in spark and try writing some spark code and execute them in Data brick Free cluster.

Hello Sourav, Yes you can go for hadoop/spark training with your current profile. You don't need to learn python for it. Basic knowledge of database is enough to learn hadoop/spark.
