Hi, I have been working in IT from the past six years. My primary skills are Unix and SQL. Can I go for a Spark or Hadoop training? Do I need to learn Python for big data? Is there any skill I need to have for spark?

Python is not mandatory for learning spark. But if you have some core Java skills, that will be the add on to learn spark.

Python is a much-used language in BigData, but you don't need to learn. It is mainly used for ML / Data science projects. Hello Sourav, Yes you can go for hadoop/spark training with your current profile. You don't need to learn python for it. Basic knowledge of database is enough to learn hadoop/spark.
