First, understand the areas of having good command and the places where your child needs guidance. Although different children's have distinct ability to learn so first let him/her read a storybook and let him enjoy it !!! After that, try to do some fun activities like reciting poems, paragraphs etc. Slowly and steadily, he will grasp the roots of English, and in the meanwhile, your child would be able to speak in English.
Remember your child is ten years old and don't expect that he would speak English like 30 years old IT professional !!! Please stay connected with your child and let your child take it as a game(English) and not a subject to excel in.
