it is easier to extract metals from peroxides than from sulphides, oxides, and carbonates because Peroxides contain loosely bound oxygen atoms (O₂²⁻) that decompose easily, making metal extraction simpler—often just by heating (thermal decomposition).
Reason is incorrect because Prior to reduction, the metal sulphides and carbonates are generally converted into metal oxide not peroxide.
