For this type of children, you should not pressure to make to study. First of all, you tell him a motivational story of famous personalities develops a good mindset. Then you ask some mathematic while playing with him, and science too. If he answers, then good if not, then you realise that let's explore the answer behind it, so after that, you place him on the study table explore things at his level day by day. This habit leads to an increase in sitting power.
