I am appearing for Bank Clerical exams. But I am weak in general awareness and financial awareness paper. I am not comfortable in banking terminologies that appears in the question paper. How should I prepare this paper ? some coaching centertutors gives a big pdf or a book and ask to mug up as much as possible without understanding the banking systems which eventually does not help. Is there any tutors or coachings avaiable anywhere who assist solving previous years papers specifically and explain the concepts along the way as well. This would help me staying motivated.

Dear Shibsankar, I understand your concern about preparing for the General Awareness and Financial Awareness sections of the Bank Clerical exam, especially with banking terminologies. Many coaching centers focus on rote learning, but to truly excel, you need to understand the concepts. Here's a step-by-step approach to help you: 1. Build a Strong Foundation Instead of memorizing banking terminologies, focus on understanding them: Visit the RBI’s official website to read about basic banking terms. Watch YouTube videos on “Banking Awareness for Beginners.” Create your own simple notes in a language you are comfortable with. 2. Stay Updated with Daily Current Affairs Read current affairs daily from websites like AffairsCloud, Gradeup, and Bankers Adda. Follow PIB (Press Information Bureau) and read The Hindu or Economic Times editorial pages. Use monthly current affairs magazines like Lucent’s or Arihant to revise key events. 3. Solve Previous Year Question Papers Download the last 5 years’ question papers for Bank PO and Clerk exams. Attempt them first, then analyze the solutions and understand the explanations. Practice mock tests on platforms like Testbook, Oliveboard, and Adda247. 4. Join the Right Coaching or Online Courses Look for coaching centers or online platforms that explain previous years' questions with concepts instead of just providing PDFs. Some YouTube educators specialize in breaking down complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner. 5. Revise and Test Yourself Regularly Set a fixed time daily for revision. Take weekly quizzes on General Awareness and Financial Awareness topics. By following this structured approach, you will gradually build confidence and improve your understanding. Stay consistent, and you will see positive results. If you need specific guidance or resources, feel free to ask! Best of luck with your preparation! read less

Why do people in India prefer an IT engineer rather than a national bank clerk as a son-in-law?
may be it has to do with the profession of an engineer . nevertheless , govt job as a clerk is still more secure and stable , though has less chance of dramatic rise in income . believe me you will find both sets of people in India .
