Ask a Question
I would say any popular genre is easy because most genres have songs that have a range of difficulty. For example, in Metal, there are straightforward songs, and there are extremely complicated songs. So it really depends on what you are getting into. The point of playing the guitar is to not worry about the genres at the start. First, figure out a road map of your playing and then set out to work on your foundations. I've been teaching guitar for about 2 years or so, and I can tell you that many students forget this key step in the process! and having an instructor helps to do this because many of the times complex problems may have simple solutions.
