I have been a bharathanatyam dancer since 12 years. It was after my Arangetram that a small girl from the audience came up to me with her mother and said that she wanted to become a dancer like me. Her mother got back to me within the next few days wanting me to train her daughter. And hence I began imparting the knowledge of dance I had learnt from my Guru. Due to space constraints, I could not teach many students at home. I sent a few students to other institutions and continued to take classes on Skype for a few others. I have also been a trainer at other institutions. I have noticed that many people wish to take up a short course in bharathanatyam and then decide if they would like to pursue it regularly. Hence, I intend to do a summer camp on Bharathanatyam.
