I took the workshop on Dining Etiquette with Mrs. Liji Thomas on the 28th of January, 2017 and I have to say the experience was phenomenal. One of my language teachers would always quote a verse from The Ramayana that goes, 'Gyan ka nash ahankaar ka kaaran hota hain' which roughly translates to, 'The destruction of knowledge happens due to pride/vanity/over confidence' and it's something I recalled that day! You think you've got the basics figured out only to realize that there really is no end to learning! These classes are a must not just for those who seek to learn about Dining etiquette or acquire some basic skills but also for those who want to keep up with trends and the evolution of dining etiquette so to speak. Sometime in January, I went out for lunch and froze like a deer in headlights when it was brought to my attention that I would have to eat using chopsticks. Now I practice eating with Chopsticks twice a week and enjoy doing so. The class ended with Ice cream, good company, laughter and knowledge gained. It was worth every minute of it and I am very grateful for having had the opportunity to learn from such a thorough professional and wonderful person. Thank you so much.
