What are some professions that use computer-aided design and drafting software?

With CAD, We can complete the design..to verify the design limits and factor of safety, analysis are carried out...can be done by Nastran and accordingly the manufacturing can be taken up with repeatability, there by helping in enhancing the productivity.

Which is better, AutoCAD or CATIA?

CATIA is preferred for 3d modelling, where as Auto Cad is preferred for drafting. However, one can do 3d modelling, drafting and analysis using Catia.
