I am an experienced Interior Design educator and freelance interior designer with 15 years of overall experience in the field of Interior Designing, drawing, and design software training. My work revolves around combining creativity with practical application, helping students understand both the artistic and technical aspects of interior design. Over the years, I have trained students from diverse backgrounds and guided them toward building successful careers in the design industry. I hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree and have built strong professional expertise through continuous work in interior design practice. Alongside teaching, I have over 10 years of experience working as a freelance interior designer, handling end-to-end projects that include 2D and 3D drawings, mood boards, presentation PPTs, space planning, and material selection. This hands-on industry experience allows me to bring real-world insights into my teaching. For the past 5 years, I have been working as a part-time lecturer in Interior Designing, where I teach both theoretical concepts and practical software skills. My teaching includes tools such as AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, 3ds Max, Photoshop, V-Ray, and Revit. I ensure that students gain strong command over industry-standard software along with a clear understanding of design principles. My teaching experience includes working with learners from across India, including homemakers who wish to restart or begin their careers in interior design, as well as students from non-design backgrounds such as CA, engineering, arts, and other fields who want to transition into the design industry. I also train civil engineers, contractors, builders, and architects who aim to expand their services into interior design or start independent design firms. My teaching methodology is structured, practical, and project-oriented. I follow a step-by-step lesson plan that integrates theory with hands-on training, ensuring that students understand concepts thoroughly before applying them in real projects. Each session includes software practice, assignments, and live project work to build strong technical and creative skills. I focus heavily on real-time learning experiences, where students work on practical design projects, create layouts, develop presentations, and learn professional workflows used in the industry. My goal is to ensure that every student becomes confident in handling real design challenges and develops industry-ready skills. I conduct online classes using PowerPoint presentations and whiteboard explanations to make learning clear and engaging. My objective is to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, helping students build successful careers in interior design with strong technical knowledge and creative confidence.
