7 of my students have studied in ISB. The lowest score is 670 and the highest is 770. So it does require a decent score. But that's not all, as apart from GMAT score, one has to fulfil a few other criteria such as write Statement of Purpose (SOP), Letters of Recommendation (LOR), CV etc. Just as most good universities abroad, ISB Hyderabad too look at a person holistically.

There is something called raw scores. One usually get anywhere between 9 and 51 in math and verbal. There is a matrix which converts this raw score into a score of 800.
Raw scores of 50 and 35 will normally result in a score of 700. (give or take a few points). For most Indians, Math is easy to score than Verbal so they target 50 in math and 35+ in verbal. If one improved the score from 35 to 40 then one can dream of a score of in excess of 720.
The trick is to get all the questions right in Math and get as many questions right as possible in Verbal.
