IdentityI have 18+ years of experience in Training/Coaching/Tutoring/Mentoring, a large chunk of which is aligned with the corporate environment. In academia, I hold a PhD from IIT Kharagpur. My English proficiency level under CEFR is C2 (highest level.)
I started my journey as a Trainer/Instructor with the American Red Cross in the USA. I continued in India with flagship companies like Accenture, Hewlett Packard, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and DXC Technology. I built my career with these organisations scaling up from the role of a communication coach to Manager, Training & KM. This journey includes my stint as a communication coach for new joiners, tenured personnel and mid- and top-level management. Areas of coaching included Voice & Accent, Customer Service Skills, Business Grammar, Business Skills, and Cross-Cultural Competency.
I offer 2 courses on UrbanPro: Spoken English and Interview Preparation Skills. It has been a privilege and an opportunity to work in two cultures (USA and India) and multinational organisations. I incorporate these learnings into the courses offered. Spoken English focuses on phonics, grammar, vocabulary, intonation, tone, stress patterns, and speech fluency. For Interview Preparation Skills, the focus is on handling behavioural and competency-based questions (includes self-introduction/elevator pitch); body language; verbals and nonverbals; virtual vs real-time interview guidelines, and creating an effective Résumé / reviewing an existing one. Both Courses adopt an immersive methodology based on interactive discussions/conversations; demonstrations; quizzes; and scenario-based discussions. I curate a bespoke lesson plan based on each student's requirement and level of existing skills. I also share handouts and other supporting material (documents/audio files) if required.
I have had a diverse range of students across all age groups above 25 years: College students; Corporate Managers (all levels); Doctors; Media Artists; Homemakers; Business owners; and those just entering the job market.
I take Classes from Monday through Friday only, starting at 11.30 AM and ending at 7.30 PM.
