Dr. Nataraju A. B. is a seasoned academician and technology professional with over 16+ years of academic experience and 10+ years of IT industry experience. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Acharya Institute of Technology. His combined exposure to academia and industry enables him to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world technological applications. In his academic role, Dr. Nataraju teaches core computing and engineering subjects such as Data Structures using C, Computer and Network Security, and other courses related to computing, algorithms, and communication systems. He emphasizes strong foundations in problem solving, algorithmic thinking, and secure system design, helping students develop both analytical and practical engineering skills. With more than a decade of experience in the IT industry, he brings valuable industry insights into the classroom, enabling students to understand current technology trends, software development practices, and real-world problem-solving approaches. His industry background helps him guide students toward industry-ready skills, internships, and career opportunities. Dr. Nataraju is also actively engaged in Outcome-Based Education (OBE) processes aligned with accreditation frameworks. He contributes to the design and mapping of Course Outcomes (COs), Program Outcomes (POs), and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), along with assessment rubrics and attainment analysis to enhance academic quality. His research interests include artificial intelligence ecosystems, cybersecurity, network evolution, and emerging computing technologies. He also promotes industry–academia collaborations, facilitating MoUs, internships, and research interactions to create meaningful learning opportunities for students and to address contemporary technological challenges.
