Here is my story: Last 1&1/2 years I was working with Greendeck (Techstar's startup greendeck.co) as a machine learning engineer. I was the first member of the team after my 3 co-founders. I was working on a competitor's analysis, pricing optimization, like-to-like product matching, promotional mail, and demand analytics. The client just not give us his competitor's name to provide him all these solutions. These highly accurate AI models for real-time pricing optimization were getting used by some of the UK's top eCommerce and retail chains. Also, we got featured in Forbes for our AI work😊. Right now I work with Samsung Research as an R&D Engineer. Leading a 10 members AI team to build an AI-based cataloging system. The work we have done in the last 7-8 months is getting used by some of India's top eCommerce companies. Here we have built products that will help to build fashion/ FMCG/ Menu cataloging only by seeing the image, HTML text, or any other inputs. We do work for link sourcing for some of our clients where they give us a text or any SKU/Product Code or UPC or ASIN or ISBN to extract the exact product and its cataloging from wherever it is getting sold. We work on AI-based image editing/ manipulation based on different marketplace requirements and standards. This month I got promoted to ML Lead😊. I do consultancy and freelancing sometimes. I work for lambent technology as a cloud and search engine architect. I do project-based work with a US-based company deeper system on machine learning problems. Whenever I get time on weekends, I do work with a couple of founding stage(pre-seed) startups like Fashtag, HiveSight, Clergo, etc. Apart from this, I also work on some of my ideas too 😊. I have just started. It's like learning competitive programming without competitiveness. Trying to build something combining peer programming, tinder, and a part of eCommerce. Sorry for making it long😔, but there is a lot more to share. How about you? How was the experience so far? Anything you would suggest me to learn or approach? 1-2 weeks back I thought of building an app for remote job opportunities. I scrapped Angelist and stored the data on Algolia. The whole week I gave 7 am-9 am to learn Flutter. Right now I have built some basics in that native app. Skills I am familiar with : Machine Learning: Python, keras, pytorch, Deeprank network, Multimodal network, Google BERT, Detectron, Cataloging model, like to like product matching, detection technique, NER etc. Back-end: Node, express/ flask(python)/django, Java Servlet [ I have built the entire backend system and authentication system using node from scratch with an MVC design view ] Frontend: Vue, Html, bootstrap, js, react(beginner) Databases: mongodb(nosql), neo4j(graph), redis, rabbitmq(queue based db) Search engine: Elastic search Cloud: gcp(VPC, GKE, cloudbuild, function, loadbalancer, VM etc), azure, aws(ec2, s3, efs, lambda, dynamo basics) Deployment: docker stack, Kubernetes Except for these, I am very much familiar with web scraping (python scrapy framework). I always believe learning a new technology is not difficult. I will love to learn any tech stack you are working on with the team.
