Start by watching English Sitcoms and Movies on a regular basis(worked for me!).
If you are not a reader aleady, try picking up the habit of reading books to improve your lexical resource.
It shouldn't be hard for you if you start enjoying any of these.
But it's not going to work unless you put what you learn into use. So, start conversing in English with your friends/colleagues. Works better, if you have a friend who doesn't speak your mother tongue in which case you are forced to converse in a common language(choose English).
