IdentityMy experience ranges from teaching Hindi to folks who're not familiar with any South Asian languages, to people who're appearing for public examinations.
Since I teach only one person at a time, my methodology and demeanor is adapted to making the most out of the lessons. Different persons have different motivations behind learning languages. I work with the learner to chart and follow through the best course of action to achieve their goals.
I am comfortable with people of all identities. The learner's age, literacy background, socio-cultural context, passions, etc are guidelines for me to tailor my approach around.
I work as a translator. I work between Hindi, English, and Urdu, primarily. My portfolio includes comics, subtitles, songs, interviews, news articles, instruction manuals, poems, prose, textbooks, zines, illustrations/photo-narratives, posters, and other forms of content, and I'm not restricted to a particular 'genre'. This is possible because I work to keep myself flexibly bilingual, and hence, make a trustworthy teacher.
