As the name itself suggests - cash flow means inflow and out flow of cash ( only cash), whereas Funds are defined as cash or cash equivalents or working capital(i.e. current assets- current liabilities).so the very basic difference between cash flow statement and fund flow statement is that whereas the first deals with the change in the cash position the second deals with the change in working capital position between two points of time .The first one is relevant in estimating the capability of the firm to meet short term liabilities ,the second is relevant in estimating the capability of the firm to meet long term liabilities. read less
