People of democratic nations have many rights in respect of our nation I.e. freedom of speech,equality,religious faith and beliefs,educational and cultural freedom,right of education and information as well. Aa a worlds biggeat democratic nation it's a responsibility of government to serve rights to people,but in some circumstances it few among people misuse this which can be seen as major challenge for it. As we see there is freedom of speech and expression but few take its advantage by agiatation or protest. In a democratic country every matter is acceptable to debate and that matter should be short out by the same. People just want to agree the government on their wish by any means which is wrong in nature and challenge for us to sort out. But no decision can be taken without consideration of the base of the constitution. read less

This also means that less and less decisions should remain outside the arena of democratic control. Most countries including India and other democracies like the US face this challenge. The another challenge of deepening of democracy is faced by every democracy in one form or another. This involves strengthening of the institutions and practices of democracy. This should happen in such a way that people can realise their expectations of democracy. read less

The idea of empowering individuals to chart their own course, however, is weakening the ties that have long bound democratic communities together. It has become an arena where the individual stands against the state. The very concept of Unity in Diversity is threatened. Instead of bringing people together, diversity is seen to be alienating them from one another, leading to breakdowns in social trust. read less

The most challenging part of a democracy is keeping everyone happy! Its the challenge that is faced in every democracy! Democracy is Government BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, OF THE PEOPLE! Keeping this basic principle intact is a challenge in itself as there are chances of concentration of power in one or few people turning it into a authoritative rule. There are mainly 2 types of democracy- 1) Parliamentary Democracy (example-India) 2) Presidential Democracy (USA). Thus the challenges differ. In India, the problem of red tape, that is, delay in decision-making, delays the overall process of good governance. If law-making takes years, when will the execution take place?
