Our thumb impression is also a kind of Print Making. As a child art we do Print making with the help of any organic or with man-made rubbery n wooden objects. It is use to prepare handmade gift papers & also to print on clothes with ink n dyes. printmaking, is not printing a canvas. Though its an traditional art, its a process of printing from wood blocks, litho stones, zinc plate on paper. Its a process of taking multiple impression from one surface, where if the surface is wood, you carve the wood, roll ink over it, place paper on top of the wood and rub from behind to take prints.
