First, you either study by will, force or a reason. Secondly, go for the reason why you should study, then understand the motivation to study any course or subject either themself or by the teacher. Then first understand the problem, to which the subject is needed. After that correlate every concept with reality and existence to understand fully.
And If you won't pass the exam or qualify the competition, then make a shortlist of formulas, theory, concepts, figures and graphs. And start memorising it by solving problems related to it.
