As a mathematics tutor,there are many good and satisfying experiences. I'd like to share one of the lot There was a student who came to me just after his maths marks were distributed in class and he failed quite badly ie he got a 7/40. This person was very carefree and was not of the type who come to study. He just wanted to pass the next test only because his teacher had warned him to thrash him next time he failed indirectly telling him to join his classes. This student did not like the teacher or subject or the extra classes. The moment he was here , he was surprised seeing the students of his grade solve problems confidently and happily. I think this environment changed him for good and he started doing the home works very diligently. This person also started getting marks in test fairly well. The next semester which came three months later my student got 72/100. When he got the answer paper,the first question the teacher asked was how did he get 72 ? The teacher himself was surprised and wondering how did he manage to get those marks and kept on asking where he went for classes. My student did not utter a word but I had the answer that was immensely satisfying .
