Yes you can make but generally word file is preferred for most of the companies

It's not professional. You should create your CV in Doc format. If you want to create your CV in Photoshop or Illustrator that save your CV in pdf formate. But, once again Doc format is always and everywhere acceptable.

Which tool you would prefer to use when you want to crop a human portrait from an image?
I would use a pen tool to exactly cut the human from the image avoiding the things in the background. If the background doesn't matter, we can straight away use crop tool.
