How do you make a clipping path using Photoshop version CS6?

Create shape using pen tool (can use ready made shape which PS offer) on new layer, put layer on above of layer that need to clipping mask, Press ALT & take you mouse between that 2 layer, you will see a down arrow, press left click of mouse without leaving alt button

Hey Dhanya, you might have to make a new layer and draw the desired path with the help of the Pen Tool and Create a layer mask for the same. Also, you can save it as .PSD format and then place your image or text in the clipping path. Hope it helps.
