Hi Neha Greetings from Anigra Training Academy. After the image is opened you need to check whether the Layer window is open in the Interface. If not click on the Window menu and choose the Layer command to open the window. By default the name of the layer in the layer window would be "Background" and it would be locked. Double click on the "background" or click on Layer menu and click on New sub-menu and choose the command "Layer from background". This will open a dialogue box where the name of the layer will be displayed as "layer 0". Click on the OK button and the layer will be unlocked and the name changed as Layer 0. Now you need to reduce the opacity in the Layer window from 100 to any number of your choice and the image will become transparent according to the value of the opacity you had set. read less
