Wordpress has default categories option to categorized your blog post. But if you install any plugin like woocommerce you get another categories option as product categories.

Hi, Free themes are having limited options. Always go with premium themes like eleganthemes. But I prefer "Total Theme" it has full customized options. You can customize layout, page, header and footer etc.
