Absolutely. Wildlife photography is all about capturing that "perfect moment". That requires a lot of patience waiting for the shot, and it also requires a good understanding of animal behavior which is very important to anticipate when and where you can get those amazing shots.

Yes also you need very good kit with good tele lenses so you can get better crisp shots.

Yes, but in my opinion patience is the key to photographing outdoors whether it is wildlife, travel or landscape as long as there is a will, time and real interest in the task one can not create a wow factor in there images.

Along with tremendous patience you need absolute focus and you have to be spontaneous to be a wildlife photographer . On the other hand , before going to the field for wildlife photography , you should also have good knowledge on flora and fauna.
