Responsive design is a way for a web developer to make his website adapt to all the devices and resolutions. Eg. when we make a responsive website, we can understand how our website should display when opened in small device(phone), medium device(laptop),ipad, wide screen computer etc.

A responsive web design means a website should be able to adjust according to the width and size of the screen. As there are different devices like laptops,mobile phones,tablets, etc., and so does their screen size.
