In music, the term refers to two different meanings: Western music that has been composed by musicians trained in the art of writing music and which has not been made just for immediate popular or commercial success, but that can be enjoyed by future generations. This meaning equals the term art music. The music composed in the classical period (from 1750 to 1820). This period includes Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, and it’s also called the common practice period. read less
