How do I avoid straining my voice?

Vocal Instructor having 6+ Years of experience in teaching.

Do not sing the notes beyond your range forcefully. Keep practicing the notes in your range. If you want to go higher/lower, then practice the next note smoothly and comeback to nearest stable note like Saa or Paa
