In my opinion, Composition is by-product of a good practice. You have to focus on practicing different Ragas and their mood and application of the same in Light music as well by listening to Bollywood songs based on classical music. Eventually you'll get to know the combination of musical notes which suits the lyrics you want to compose. Also the creativity lies within oneself for some people. They can compose without having proper knowledge of ragas. read less
