Have a proper case, wrap the violin in chamois cloth and keep only those relevant things inside the space of your violin case like a set of EADG strings, spare bridge, a rosin. Do not put unnessarily other things into the case. Keep the box in a warm place. Thermal expansion contractions happen with weather changes and the violin should not be kept in ambient environment, when not in use.
