Venkatram Balasubramanian

I am an experienced teacher and trainer with around 20 years of teaching experience. I teach Science to students from Classes 7 to 12 and also provide soft skills coaching. Teaching has been my passion since the beginning of my professional journey, and I enjoy helping learners develop strong subject knowledge, confidence, communication abilities, and practical skills.

I completed my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Madras University in 2002, followed by a Master of Science (M.Sc.) from Periyar University in 2005. I further completed my M.Phil. in Chemistry from Anna University in 2008 and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in 2010. My academic background in Chemistry and Management has allowed me to develop expertise across both academic and professional learning environments.

I have been involved in teaching since 2002. I started my career as a Chemistry and Yoga teacher and gradually expanded my experience into training learners from different age groups and backgrounds. Over the years, I have taught school students, adults, and corporate professionals. Working with such diverse groups has helped me understand different learning requirements and continuously improve my approach as an educator.

One of my academic achievements is being a Gold Medalist from college. I have also published a research paper in Chemistry, which reflects my continued interest in academic knowledge and subject development. My experience in both teaching and professional training has strengthened my ability to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications and explain subjects from different perspectives.

I believe that learning should be simple, interactive, and interesting. My teaching style is primarily discussion-based, and I encourage students to participate actively, ask questions, and clarify their doubts. I focus on simplifying complex topics and presenting them in a way that students can understand easily instead of expecting them to rely only on memorisation.

I use PPT presentations and a whiteboard to support my explanations and make lessons more organised and engaging. I also encourage students to relate concepts to practical situations wherever possible. Whether I am teaching Science, Chemistry-related concepts, or soft skills, I aim to create an environment where learners can participate, think critically, and develop confidence.

My goal as a teacher and trainer is to ensure that every learner gains meaningful knowledge and practical value from my sessions. With more than two decades of teaching experience, strong academic qualifications, and experience working with different types of learners, I strive to make every session useful, interactive, and focused on the student's overall development.
