The Govt. is supposing to introduce Vedic Maths in school education (curriculum) - Is it right or wrong?

Vedic maths shall be introduced to the children at the time we are teaching them addition, subtraction, multiplication, division for the first time, since its the same time they are learning the languages. It shall be effective because most of the Indian languages are read\written from left to right and vedic maths explains the basic mathematical operations from left to right hence enabling the student to interpret maths similar to languages. However some languages like urdu are read\written right to left hence for kids learning urdu regular method of doing mathematical operations from right to left shall be more useful. Also I feel that the students who are already comfortable with right to left maths should not be burdened with vedic maths, also its a myth that calculations using vedic maths are faster, even using the regular maths with some smart algebra tricks we can perform calculations at a speed as fast as Vedic maths.Government to should keep in mind these things before blindly making vedic maths as part of curriculum. read less

That's going on since Vajpeyi Govt. Yet no conclusion. Many state level schools in small towns do teach Vedic math. Examinations are knows as Vedic Ganitam.
