Riddhi B.

I am a dedicated Bharatanatyam practitioner, performer, and teacher with formal training and academic grounding in Indian classical dance. I have completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Performing Arts (Bharatanatyam), and I am currently pursuing my PhD, where my research focuses on the traces of dance forms discussed in the Nṛttaratnāvalī and their comparative links with major dance traditions of Andhra Pradesh.

I have taught offline Bharatanatyam classes, working closely under my Guru and gaining hands-on teaching experience with students at various levels. My training approach emphasizes strong foundational technique, clarity of movement, theoretical understanding, and disciplined practice.

I also served as one of the coordinators for the prestigious dance residency “Yoga Nritya Brahma Samvādhā” held in Haridwar, contributing to planning, communication, and curriculum support. Alongside teaching and research, I remain an active performer and continue to present Bharatanatyam across stages in India.

I have been honoured with the “Kal ke Kalakar”Award (2023-24) from the Gujarat Government, and I am a recipient of the Young Artist Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India—recognitions that have enriched both my artistic journey and my academic exploration.

As a teacher, I aim to create a learning environment that blends rigorous technique, expressive depth, and an appreciation for the classical tradition. My goal is to guide students toward a strong, meaningful, and joyful dance practice.
