I have over 6 years of teaching experience in higher education, with extensive experience in teaching Chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I am currently working as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Krishna School of Science, Drs. Kiran & Pallavi Patel Global University (KPGU), Vadodara, where I have been serving since July 2022. Previously, I worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Chemistry at FLHAS, ITM Vocational University, Vadodara, during 2021–2022 and 2018–2019, and as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, during 2014–2015. My academic experience includes classroom teaching, practical laboratory instruction, curriculum planning, student mentoring, examination and assessment activities, and departmental coordination. As HOD, I am also involved in academic administration, faculty coordination, laboratory management, student development activities, and implementation of academic programs. My teaching and research expertise is primarily in Organic Chemistry, Heterocyclic Chemistry, Coordination Chemistry, and Bioinorganic Chemistry. My Ph.D. research involved the synthesis and characterization of biologically active heterocycles and platinum(II) complexes, along with studies of their DNA-binding, antibacterial, nuclease, and cytotoxic properties. This research experience enables me to integrate practical research knowledge with classroom and laboratory teaching, thereby providing students with both theoretical understanding and hands-on exposure to modern chemical sciences.
