Teacher should explain the concept clearly,so that the student become curious to ask some questions on the topic.Teacher has to clear those doubts and asses whether the student is following or not.Finally ensure that student has understood the topic.

You should try to have a structured view of the syllabus. Plan it out. Include as many exercises of the topics you teach as possible. Use easy language, try to connect with the students on a personal basis.
