What do you mean by projection rule?

Ankit Pushp

JEE/Board Maths Tutor

Projection Formula gives the relation between angles and sides of a triangle. We can find the length of a side of the triangle if other two sides and corresponding angles are given using projection formula. If a, b and c be the length of sides of a triangle and A, B and C are angles opposite to the sides respectively, then projection formula is given below: a = b cos C + c cos B b = c cos A + a cos C c = a cos B + b cos A

Answers 2 Comments What is the formula for measuring height of a triangle?

Ankit Pushp

JEE/Board Maths Tutor

The height of a triangle can be found if you have an angles and a side, if the angle is between the base and the side you have, or all three sides. We'll call the sides of the triangle a, b, and c, and the angles, A, B, and C. If you have all three sides, you'll use Heron's formula, and the formula for the area of a triangle. If you have two sides and an angle, you'll use the formula for the area given two angles and a side. A = 1/2ab(sin C).
