She said "How can my clothes that don't fit" is a good sign?

How come does worries at start of day benefits me?

How come Tears in eyes is a positive sign?

How come party mess is appreciable?

How come Broken roof can give comfort?

How come more Taxes can comfort me?

He replied:

1. Clothes that don't fit you means you have good appetite.

2. Worries at start of the day means you are alive.

3. Tears in your eyes means there is somebody you care for.

4. The mess to clean after party means you have friends around you.

5. Roof that needs fixing means you have got a house.

6. Taxes to pay means you are earning nicely and not unemployed.

Do you agree with this mindset ?

Let's be optimistic in life because everything around you happens for a reason and we should always count our blessings only since life is too short to worry and waste.

"If there is a solution to the problem, then why waste time worrying about it." - By Dalai Lama

On 10th September 2017, Nadal won US Open 2017 and it was his 16th Grand Slam Title. Through out this tournament he played like a champion and fighter. Initial Two matches were 5 setter but he sustained that and overcome. In final match, Australian Anderson he showed his true class and was harsh on opponent, he displayed a top quality tennis with powerful forehands and top spin. Also this year in 2017, he managed to win on his favorite surface Clay, French Open. So taking away 2 Grand slams. Like him Roger Federer also won 2 grand slams (Australian open and Wimbledon) this year. These two all time rivals and great players share 35 grand slams (Roger 19 & Nadal 16) means almost 9 years of dominance on Grand slam events. Like Nadal, Federer also had lean patches in career, but he kept his cool, waited for right opportunity and displayed some classy forehands and volley.

A Fighter Nadal: This was not so easy for him, after winning French Open in 2014, Nadal had series of injuries and last year in 2016, he retired after 3rd round due to damaged wrist. A player who was on a winning spree till 2014 and suddenly was forced to be down by wear and tear caused by so many years of power play, still he had a faith on his abilities, his determination for paying tennis was tremendous, any other player would have taken retirement, but he stood like a true leader and fought all odds. In those bad patches he must have fallen down to many stronger and new players, he must be mentally shattered, devastated with the struggles between mind and body but at the end his mind won. His never say die attitude plunged him to give best and achieve what he had planned. His determination was seen in Australian open 2017, when he reached final and displayed signs of return and here he lost to his Arch Rival Roger.

So what are the take aways from this warrior is always give your best, never give up, stay focused, work on your weakness and make them your strengths, problems will come, situations will force you to surrender but never loose hope, everyone is unique and must use his full strength to achieve his / her Goal.

Wishing all the very best to Rafael Nadal & Roger Federer and wish them to achieve many heights. Also wish all of us to be strong, consistent and shall never give up. Life is all about fall and rise but we shall remain focused, determined and keep trying. Success will follow right away.

The answer to get happiness always lies within you. You may find lots of videos & inspirational speeches regarding happiness in youtube or other sites but true happiness can always be found within yourself.

The simple questions in our mind, "Why I can't smile like others?", "Why I'm not happy like others?", depression always arise whenever our expectations fail to meet the ends. Right? So what if we don't expect anything but keep our hope alive? Isn't it simple?

Hope is what we all need to survive but expectations are enough to kill ourselves everyday.

The magic lies in accepting the current situation, being satisfied with what you have & keeping the hope of a great future alive.

Today when you opened your eyes after a long goodnight sleep, someone else was taking his or her last breathe. So be thankful to this day rather than worrying about the past or the future. We all know that yesterday will never come back, tomorrow will never be your present, so what you have is your today. Create a beautiful today & hope for a wonderful tomorrow.

Always keep this in mind, if you are going through a bad situation, someone else is going through worse. Everyone of us is going through some or the other problems but the trick lies in how we all are handling those situations.

Chasing happiness is like chasing wind. You will never be able to catch it rather let it come to you of its own. Work for your dreams, keep your hope alive, help each other, care for each other & happiness will chase you one day.

Remember money can never buy you happiness.

Thanks to all my loving friends.

Newspaper reading and Quality of life:

  • Should we read a newspaper regularly? Does it help to improve our quality of life?
  • Is it a waste of time?
  • Robin Sharma warns against news addiction;
  • He warns about the fact " Negative news sells".

There are four kinds of students:

1. Those who never read a newspaper;

2. Those who read a newspaper regularly with critical eye

3. Those who read some parts of newspaper regularly like sports news, political news, crime news;

4. Those who read only when there is a very important news:

I think every student should be a critical reader of a newspaper.

In this context,

I draw attention to a contest organized by TOI to encourage Newspaper reading among young students.

Suggestion for an exercise:

The contest is to make generation of discerning readers: to differentiate between fact and fiction

Obviously, Dr. ABJ Abdul Kalam was not motivated by one newspaper article.

For effectiveness of the notice, they have highlighted this aspect.

I encourage you to write a critical (both positive and negative) review of the cover page and the associated article.

It highlights a lesson from the life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

As a news paper delivery boy, he read about the Supermarine Spitfighter fighter aircraft; He later pursued the field of aeronautics, become the missile man of India, leader of testing of the nuclear bomb of India, to finally becoming the President of India.

The sweetest victory is the one that’s most difficult. The one that requires you to reach down deep inside, to fight with everything you’ve got, to be willing to leave everything out there on the battlefield without knowing, until that do-or-die moment, if your heroic effort will be enough. Society doesn’t reward defeat, and you won’t find many failures documented in history books.

The exceptions are those failures that become steppingstones to later success. Such is the case with Thomas Edison, whose most memorable invention was the light bulb, which purportedly took him 1,000 tries before he developed a successful prototype. “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” a reporter asked. “I didn’t fail 1,000 times,” Edison responded. “The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”

Unlike Edison, many of us avoid the prospect of failure. In fact, we’re so focused on not failing that we don’t aim for success, settling instead for a life of mediocrity. When we do make missteps, we gloss over them, selectively editing out the miscalculations or mistakes in our life’s résumé. “Failure is not an option,” NASA flight controller Jerry C. Bostick reportedly stated during the mission to bring the damaged Apollo 13 back to Earth, and that phrase has been etched into the collective memory ever since. To many in our success-driven society, failure isn’t just considered a non-option, it’s deemed a deficiency, says Kathryn Schulz, author of Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error. “Of all the things we are wrong about, this idea of error might well top the list,” Schulz says. “It is our meta-mistake: We are wrong about what it means to be wrong. Far from being a sign of intellectual inferiority, the capacity to err is crucial to human cognition.”

Simply we would like to draw kind attention of almost 90% people in this country who have misunderstood this word “Soft Skills” and they think that this is completely a “Strange” word for them and some of them think that it has been imported from “Abroad”.

This is for your kind information that it is simply “Modification of Behavior” or in simple word “Behavior KO Sudharo” (i.e. Correct your behavior). Long ago, in the epic, MAHABHARTA, the Guru Dronacharya used to tell his disciple always “If you are strong by your behavior and character” only then you are a perfect “MAN” or Gentleman.

To add, as HRM, HRD, ADMINISTRATION and IR come under “PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT” likewise Soft Skills, People Skills, Social Skills, Family Skills, and Life Skills etc. Comes under “PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT” i.e. complete GROWTH and IMPROVEMENT in our DYNAMIC LIVING (Home Life, Business Life, Social Life, Physical Life, Mental Life, Spiritual Life)

Simply to say Soft Skills or any skills is a PART of your Personality Development. And now days this is considered as Sociological, Psychological and Anthropological process in totality.

We need to inculcate 60 Soft Skills in us but we strongly recommend even if you have the mastery in “5” Soft Skills which is just like “FIVE ELEMENTS OF A BODY

(for example: Air, Water, Fire, Sky, and Earth etc.).

 These five Soft Skills are:

  1. Organizational Skills (Decision Making, Problem Solving and Managerial Skills)
  1. Presentation Skills
  1. Interpersonal Skills
  1. Communication Skills
  1. Leadership Skills

Simply to say ALL other skills available or written anywhere comes under only these five. In other words, other skills are PART of these five skills in totality.

In fine, We would like to extend our message to everyone WHOMSOEVER would like to go for “SOFT SKILLS” is that “SKILLS” are not a GOD gift, this can be ACQUIRED any point of time in your life.
