"Who Pushed Me?"

A man had one very beautiful daughter. When the daughter was ready for marriage, the father sent news around town that all the eligible young men should come to compete in a test which would determine who was fit to marry his daughter.

On that day, all was set, all the able-bodied young men came out. Some came with paper and biro and others with cutlasses and swords.

The rich man took them to his swimming pool and addressed the men: “Any of you who can swim from one end of this swimming pool to the other would marry my daughter.

In addition, I‘ll give him 15 million dollars, a car and a house so they can start life well. I shall be waiting to meet my son-in-law at the other end. Good luck!”

As the young men, all very excited at the prospect of winning, started taking off their shirts, a helicopter came over the pool and dropped alligators and crocodiles into the pool. Immediately, all the men turned back and started wearing their shirts again. Disappointed, some of them said, ''That's crazy, let's see who would marry that girl, no one will''.

All of a sudden, they heard a splash in the pool. Everybody watched in amazement as one gentleman waddled across, expertly avoiding the alligators and crocodiles.

Finally, he made it to the other side. The rich man could not believe it. He asked the young man to name anything he wanted but the man was still panting uncontrollably.

Finally, he got back to his senses and made a request saying, ''Show Me The Person Who Pushed Me Inside This Pool!''

Moral 1:
You don’t know what you are capable of doing until you are pushed! Meanwhile, the Crocodiles were Rubber Crocodiles.

Moral 2:
Those seeking to push you into the jaws of alligators and crocodiles may have helped you to reach your promised land!

Sometimes it takes going through the bad moments to bring out the best in us.

Trials are raw materials for Triumphant Testimonies. The push might take different dimensions: some people needed to be sacked before realizing their potentials and reaching their goals in life.

I pray you will get a divinely inspired push in your life.

God Bless you as you accept the Push to go for the fulfilment of your purpose in life:

P: Persist
U: Until
S: Something
H: Happens.

In an e-learning environment, a learner will scan or skim through the contents on a page. It is primarily learner-led situation. While traditional classrooms are instructor-led, e-learning courses are self-paced. Online courses do away with about 25% of the time from an equivalent traditional classroom session.

Smaller sessions per day are planned; though they may stretch over a longer period. Online training courses are more structured and less dependent on the type of instructor. This leads to consistency across online courses.

1. Effective online training:

Determine the performance goals and learning objectives before you embark on developing online training courses. Choose a method of delivery that best suits the trainees like the mobile format, app-based or regular online training sessions.

Effectively use short chunks of information. It is essential to be brief and focused on the text. Avoid rambling or meandering. This might work in a traditional classroom.

Put bullet points, sub-headings, bold text and highlighted text to best advantage to draw attention to vital topics.

Use graphics to represent information, concepts, and tasks. Icons, symbols, photographs etc. add to the overall message. Don’t overdue the visuals to the point of distraction.

Create interactive learning sessions that encourage active participation. Games, presentations, online quiz, different scenarios etc. seek to involve the online learner and prevent boredom.

It is a good idea to provide facilitators to guide the learners and maximize their learning experience.

Follow up each online session with reinforcement through emails or online discussion groups.

2. Online Certification:

Online certification courses and online universities are the new learning playgrounds. You no longer have to be confined to attending classes within stipulated timings and locations. When you sign up for an online course at a reputed institute or university, you can arm yourself with a good qualification that enables you with sufficient information, testing, and evaluation. Such online training courses cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
