AutoCAD is around 35 years old software which is designed for all the Industries. Autodesk Revit is a BIM software designed specifically for AEC industry.
In AutoCAD we were dealing with lines, arcs, circles etc whereas in Autodesk Revit we will be dealing with walls, doors, windows, etc.
3D in AutoCAD..! We know how hard it is to do 3D using AutoCAD. But Autodesk Revit automatically generates all the views(2D & 3D as well) for you once the parameters are provided.
We know one simple change in AutoCAD, we need to update that in all the plans, elevations, sections etc. In Autodesk Revit any changes to the model automatically updates to all the views and sheets.
And Time. A simple plan in Autodesk Revit can be created ten times faster than in AutoCAD. And as a bonus, we will get elevations, 3D views etc.

It only needs your first step to learn Autodesk Revit and you will never look back.

CAD - Computer Aided Design is for designing our geometry. Where as ANSYS is for Analysing our case. For example if we want to analyse flow over an aerofoil and calculate drag and lift, First we have to design our aerofoil in CAD using software's like CATIA, which is very flexible among all cad softwares and then we have to import our Aerofoil geometry into ANSYS for analysis purpose. After importing we have to mesh it finely and give the problem statement in FLUENT or CFX and run calculation then the next step is CFD Post Processing (observing Results). Hope u understood well! Iam working as a CAD/CATIA/ANSYS/CFD Trainer in a reputed institute. If you want to learn CAD/ANSYS please contact me. Thankyou Sunil read less
