TOEFL or ielts both are English language proficiency tests and which one to choose merely depends on you. TOEFL is prevalent only in the USA whereas you ielts is almost accepted in all other countries. If you are planning for masters in the USA, then go for TOEFL.

There is no passing mark for TOEFL. Score requirements are set by each higher education institution or university. So there is no a fix score that candidate has to score. Regards Dinesh

What is the qualifying mark for TOEFL?
There’s a huge range here: some schools/colleges require a score as low as 70 points, and others as high as 110. From a practical standpoint, the score required by the school you’re interested in should be considered a “good” score.
