Should I take the TOEFL or the IELTS if I'm going to apply to U.S. universities as an international undergraduate?

I suggest you to go for IELTS for two reason basicly as IELTS can be prepared in less time than TOEFL and academic part of IELTS is easier and shorter than TOEFL. Also most of the institutes around the globe prefer IELTS over TOEFL which is largely prefered by North America.
