In the Bhagavad Gita, lord Krishna states that among all forms of knowledge, the greatest is self-knowledge -the understanding of oneself. Just as an external machine functions systematically, the human body and mind operate in a mechanistic manner Yoga is the effort to bring control over the mind and its function. The mind is central to everything. One how conquers the mind can conquer the world This thought can also be found in the Rigveda. The term "yoga" is mentioned in the three places in the Reg Veda referring to the practice of controlling the mind over time With contributions from various sages and traditions the science of yoga has evolved into different systems. However, due to foreign invasions and dominance, Indian Philosophy and sciences faced setbacks leading to a disconnect from these traditions.
I do not view yoga as a business it is for those who are genuinely interested in learning and practising it.
