My Mohiniyattam training began at the age of 7
under the tutelage of
Smt. Meenakshi Menon, a disciple of Guru Nirmala Panicker.
She pursued her graduation in Mohiniyattam from Nalanda
Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya in Mumbai, an institution founded
by, Padma Bhushan Dr.
Kanak Rele.
Currently, learning under the mentorship of Sri Kalamandalam
Gopalakrishnan.
Furthermore, she has successfully completed Phase 1 and 2 of the
Navarasa Sadhana Workshop conducted by Venu G.
I also completed diploma in Kathak from Mahagami
Gurukul, Aurangabad, under the guidance of the renowned
Kathak and Odissi artist, Guru Parwati Dutta.I'm also learning kathakali from senior
Kathakali exponent, Sri
Kalamandalam Balasubramanian.

I teach Kanak Rele style of Mohiniyattam. I've been teaching Mohiniyattam from last 3 years. I love to share whatever knowledge I've gained from all my Gurus and different textbooks. Every class begins with a warm up session followed by intensive training of basic aduvu-s and choreographies, depending on student's level (beginner/intermediate). Every class ends with either kannu sadhakam (eye exercises) or abhinaya training.
Please note that I'm not teaching just to prepare the student for an arangettam within a year.
Qualities I possess as a teacher: I'm patient with students, students can feel free to ask me anything related to Indian Classical Dances, I enjoy discussions with students and I respect different opinions :)
