1. It converts CO2 and H2O into glucose which is the source of energy for plants.
2. It releases oxygen into air which is required for respiration by humans and other living organisms.

6CO2+6H2O+Sunlight energy→C6H12O6+6O2

(A) Since the number of atoms for each element are same in both reactant side and product side, the equation is balanced. Hence the assertion is right.
(R) The total mass of the reactants= The total mass of the products. Hence the law of conservation of mass holds good.
Since, the no. of atoms of each element are same in both reactant and product side, the mass of each element are same.

(a) The law that is followed in balancing a chemical equation is the Law of conservation of mass. This law states that in a chemical reaction, the total mass of the reactants is always equal to the total mass of products, that means the total mass remains conserved.
