I am a prospective Ph.D. student looking to gain experience in teaching. I have completed my Master's in Science in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram. As an online tutor, I believe it's essential to have a strong grasp of the subject I'm teaching and the ability to break down complex ideas into simpler, more understandable parts. I focus on clear and effective communication, making sure my students not only hear what I say but truly understand it. I'm also comfortable using various digital tools and platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and virtual whiteboards, which help me create an interactive and engaging learning experience. I always try to adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning styles—whether a student is more visual, auditory, or hands-on in their approach. Planning structured lessons, conducting regular assessments, and giving clear feedback are all part of my teaching process. I pay close attention to how students are responding and adjust my pace and strategies to keep them involved and motivated. Patience and empathy are qualities I consider very important. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I also manage my time well, stay organized, and make sure each session is productive. Lastly, I constantly try to improve myself—whether that’s learning new tools, exploring better teaching techniques, or staying updated with changes in the curriculum.
