Teaching Experience in detail in Spoken English classes
As a Peer Tutor at Azim Premji University, I worked closely with first-year students, many of whom struggled with spoken English and lacked the confidence to communicate effectively in academic settings. This often became a significant barrier as they progressed into higher-level courses, where active participation, discussions, presentations, and clear verbal communication were essential. I supported these students through regular one-on-one interactions, helping them improve not only their vocabulary and fluency but also their confidence in expressing themselves clearly in English. I encouraged them to speak more, corrected grammatical and pronunciation errors constructively, and helped them articulate their ideas in a more structured and natural way. Rather than simply teaching English, I focused on making students comfortable using it in real academic and everyday conversations. Over time, I saw students become noticeably more confident in speaking, participating in discussions, asking questions, and communicating their ideas. The experience taught me how to adapt my approach to different levels of proficiency and create a supportive environment where students could improve without feeling self-conscious about making mistakes.

Experience in School or College
I have had a diverse academic experience across both school and university. I completed my schooling at Rishi Valley School, where I developed a strong foundation across subjects including Mathematics, Economics, History, and Literature. I am currently pursuing a B.A. (Hons.) in History with a minor in Economics and an occupational track in Media and Journalism at Azim Premji University. Beyond academics, I have been actively involved in writing, journalism, research, and extracurricular activities. I served as the chief editor of my school newsletter and have also contributed as a writer to my university newsletter. At university, I have gained experience in academic mentoring through my role as a peer tutor, while also developing my communication and research skills through various projects. I am currently interning at The News Minute, where I am gaining practical experience in journalism through writing, research, reporting, interviewing, and working within a professional newsroom environment. This has further strengthened my communication, writing, critical thinking, and ability to work with information accurately and effectively.

Teaching Experience in detail in Class 9 Tuition
My teaching experience comes primarily from my role as a peer tutor at Azim Premji University, where I was selected to mentor first-year students as part of an academic support initiative. I regularly worked with students who were struggling with concepts, coursework, writing, and communication, and provided individualized academic guidance based on their needs. My approach to teaching focused on breaking down difficult concepts into simpler explanations, patiently working through areas of confusion, and helping students become more confident in their academic abilities. I also assisted students with their coursework and writing, which required me to communicate ideas clearly and adapt my explanations depending on the student. Although my tutoring experience has been at the university level, it has given me practical experience in explaining concepts, identifying where a learner is struggling, communicating patiently, and providing personalized academic support. These are skills I would bring to teaching a Class 9 student.
