Chetan, this depends on your teaching style. If you prefer to use traditional teaching methods then you may need whiteboard and markers. But, if can teach using modern methods like the use of virtual classrooms, video conference etc, there is no need for that. Moreover, it also depends on the students and what works better for them. Basically, your teaching style should not hinder the learning process, whatever style you choose.
